Dear Chamber Members

The World, South Africa, and the Business Fraternity seem to have developed a new agenda, since the President’s announcement regarding the Emergency Situation, which was declared in our Country last night.

Keeping you informed about the status of our forthcoming planned events, is imperative, in order to minimise confusion, and keep your health and safety a priority.

The Speed Networking Event, planned for this coming Thursday, 19 March, at the Protea Marine Hotel has been postponed until further notice. All payments for this event have been transferred to our next Speed Networking Event on 19 May 2020, at Lion Roars.

With respect to our Business Networking Event, sponsored by FNB, planned for 16 April, has also been postponed until further notice.

By now, you should have all received notice about our Local Biz Fair, planned for 25 April, at the Fairview Sports Centre. You can at this stage, still go ahead with booking a stand, however, the invoices will be held back, until more clarity with respect to the Emergency Situation, is received.

As a chamber, we intend to review the current situation in the Bay, on an ongoing basis, however, at this stage, we will give final confirmation about the Biz Fair on 16 April 2020.

Should the situation in the Country improve, we will go ahead with the Biz Fair, taking into account the necessary health and safety precautions, that will no doubt still be in force.

This, Chamber members, is a very disheartening time for all citizens, but particularly for the Small Business Owner, who already has to face immense challenges in doing business, in an economy, which is now in recession.

Now more than ever, we need to support and encourage the chamber members in our network, by continuing to promote, advertise and utilise their services, to ensure future success.

Chamber Greetings

Gaynor Bronkhorst
